The
library
Although a vast amount of information can be found on the internet, the
British Polio Fellowship subscribes to a search facility that is updated
monthly from Medline
(www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi)
Our database contains over eight hundred and fifty articles published
in medical journals from around the world and the following abstracts
represent a selection from the larger database. They are listed in date
order and the most recent articles appear first.
Use the search facility to research a particular subject. If you are considering
using published material to show to your doctor, physiotherapist etc.,
whether from the internet or elsewhere, don't forget that a brief, authoritative
piece is more likely to be read than a folder full of articles.
(For a glimpse of the vast amount of material available on the web go
to http://www.yahoo.com/ and simply type in the
word polio). Please contact central office if you would like information
from our larger, office-based database.
