At the end of May, the world's health ministers are meeting at the World Health Assembly to vote on two resolutions that will contribute to building healthy, self-sustaining communities in the developing world. One establishes a global action plan for helping to save more than 20 million lives by 2020, the other will declare Polio eradication a global emergency. As we stand on the brink of ridding the world of Polio, a first step toward achieving our 2020 global health goal, it's vital that we ask our country's health ministers to play their part and support both theses resolutions.
