Celebrate Scheme

Do you have a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary coming up? Why not ask your friends and family to make a donation to British Polio instead of buying you a gift?

It is very easy and quick to register for the scheme. Once you have joined we will provide you with all the necessary information and send you the required number of ‘Celebrate with British Polio’ donation cards, and pre-paid envelopes, so you can send them to your friends and family – perhaps with your party invitations.

We will then send a thank you card to everyone who has donated in lieu of a gift and send you a list of everyone who donated. You will also receive a certificate for the total amount your friends and family have raised.

Alternatively, you can ask friends and family to donate via Justgiving.com. To set up your own page please visit Just Giving or call Linda Davis at Central Office for more details.

 Member Testimonials

I recently celebrated my 70th birthday by hosting a joint dinner party with Bob Little, a former colleague from the tourism industry in Jersey. The guests were all members and former members of Jersey's Tourism Industry.

It was agreed that we might request, instead of presents, donations for a charity of our choice. Bob chose Jersey Hospice and I was happy, as a Polio survivor, who now experiences PPS, to select The British Polio Fellowship. I sent a cheque for £260.

Many thanks for all your hard work and for the tremendous support you provide for us all.

Sincerely,

Iain MacFirbhisigh (Rev)
