Play Badminton Club raise funds for polio survivors

Play Badminton Club raised £1,355 for the British Polio Fellowship at a Winter Social fundraising event last December.

Kripen Dhrona, Chief Executive of the British Polio Fellowship was presented with a cheque for £1,355 last week by Bhavni Shah, Club Ambassador at Play Badminton Club.

The Fellowship and Play Badminton Club, a Badminton England affiliated club operating in the Northwood and Pinner area, have a charity partnership. Through the partnership the Club held a Winter Social fundraising event in December 2022 to raise money for polio survivors.

"We are so grateful to Bhavni, Play Badminton Club and everyone who made a donation. The funds will be used for sports disability and mobility equipment that will help those members affected by polio and Post-Polio Syndrome live an independent and active live. Thank you to everyone for their generosity and support" added Dhrona.
