Optimal Clinical Pathway
It’s important to have a clear referral pathway in place to make sure that people who had polio and are now experiencing new or worsening symptoms of Late Effects of Polio (LEoP) or Post-Polio Syndrome (PPS) can access specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment without delay. This helps prevent avoidable decline in function and disability.
Our Optimal Clinical Pathway explains what good care and support should look like for people who’ve had polio.
