90s themed dinner raises money for the Fellowship

This years’ West Herts College annual fundraising event took place on Tuesday 28 February in aid of the British Polio Fellowship.

Final year BTEC Hospitality and Event Management students, organised and managed a successful 90’s themed dinner. They were assisted by first year students who prepared, served and cleared food and drinks.

The college-based restaurant produced a three-course meal for over thirty diners, at £25 a head. The meal was then followed by a short presentation from British Polio Fellowship CEO, Kripen Dhrona, to explain more about the work the charity does and how it benefits polio survivors.

“We are so grateful to the college, student group - Tom, Sienna and Abby, and all the students involved for putting on such an amazing fundraising night in support of the Fellowship” commented Dhrona.

Kripen and Carol Levin from the Fellowship, joined with members of the Fellowship’s Watford Group. Everyone took part in a 90s quiz and polio survivor, Maria won first prize which she donated back to the Fellowship to raise even more funds for members.
