The British Polio Fellowship (BPF) is delighted to announce that we have been selected by Bradford (Park Avenue) Association Football Club as their new charity partner.

The club's mission is to use the power of football to raise awareness of people living with the late effects of polio and post-polio syndrome (PPS) and collect donations for the charity.

Kripen Dhrona, CEO at BPF said: “This is a really exciting opportunity and we are looking forward to building a strong partnership with everyone at Bradford Park Avenue. Thank you for selecting the Fellowship."

Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC was formed in 1907 and is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. It currently plays in Northern Premier League Division One East.

The charity holds special significance for Bradford (Park Avenue) due to its deep connection with Jeff Hall, a former Avenue reserve player who tragically passed away from polio in 1959 while playing for Birmingham City. His untimely death left a lasting impact on both football and public health, prompting a nationwide movement for polio vaccinations in the UK. This partnership will honor his memory and serve as a poignant reminder of how football can inspire meaningful change in society.
