Monday 24 October is World Polio Day. An opportunity to raise awareness of polio and Post-Polio Syndrome (PPS) across the world and focus on the efforts being made to eradicate this devastating disease.
This year, the British Polio Fellowship featured on a powerful news item that was broadcast on several regional ITV News programmes. It highlighted the importance of parents getting their children vaccinated and the worrying rise in cases of Post-Polio Syndrome. Members can view a recording of the interview with CEO, Kripen Dhrona by contacting Central Office.
On Wednesday 26 October, the Fellowship continued its World Polio Day activities by hosting a virtual Zoom Cafe to speak with polio organisations from across the world and talk about how they support and advise their polio communities.
